The two of them have come together to resurrect a project from 2001 and have put together a colorful mix of strings, vocals, and melodies. There is something familiar and comforting in the sound of this EP. It could be Rose’s strings, which were introduced with her debut for Basmati “Food For Dreams” (Basmati 06), or elements of Ananda’s live series, there is an aspect to the sound that just fits. Ananda and Rose have delivered the complete package. The A-side opens with the not-so-short “Short Story”, a fourteen minute evolving trip covering the scope of both producers’ talents. The B-side contains two versions of “Struck By Light”. The Techno version comes with power and emotion, crafted for the dance floor, which is followed by the deeper, original version recorded for the first time in 2001.
