On his first vinyl EP for the chameleonic Swiss/Argentinean label Dilek Records, the German producer Marquez Ill presents three original tracks, perfect to make a transition and conquer your senses during these fast-changing times. His rhythmic approach on Ill Kill You Last EP will get you hooked! We know that Dilek Records is a unique label, and that it doesnt release more than two records per year. But we did not know that after a release so bold and transgressive, like the past one was, including the remixed version of a top prize winner of the film industry, it could get out with this strong, but yet subtle vinyl, hard figure to get in a records shop nowadays. Well, Marquez Ill, Tigerskin and Cascandy made it possible, with this new red vinyl edition. Marquez Ill is one of the label heads at Voltage Musique and is also a respected producer, with many releases of high quality behind his back. Label Managers at Dilek say: We instantly fell in love with his unique productions! Since were not sticking to a particular style, but more to tracks that really surprise us, we decided to start this project and finally found the correct moment for it. This EP overflows with Marquezs clear, solid and clean sounds. They can be perfect tracks to listen on a sunset, or on primetime in a club. In these three original productions that accompany the vinyl, youll find tracks that really come out of the actual producing standards, and Dilek again raises its wings, with material that is definitely not more of the same. This release also includes on the B side, the remix of well-known producer Tigerskin, who delivered a delicate version, by preserving some of the original samples and taking them to a new interpretation of the dance floor. These are current, deep and concrete sounds. There is no waste in any second of this version. Cascandy (alias Andreas Henneberg) also provided a smashing remix, perfect for the peak time. Youll find it as a bonus, together with another original track. In his way, Dilek offers something very interesting also on the digital release. This version by Cascandy is also deep, with an aggressive synth. Youll be sure to have an answer in the form of vehemence from the audience, with this characteristic version. Basically it’s a release which stands out of the ordinary. Its strong and will give something to talk to both popular DJs and fans of good music.

Black Catalogue. We came from the future to get down. Info: Ah yes, the Carter Bros. The mysterious duo from down under. I’m putting out a 4 track EP from these guys and I know virtually nothing about these dudes! I know their names(Gavin & Tim). I know they put out a 12″ on RushHour. I know they released a full-length on Cuckoo. I knowt hey’ve been very cool, very gracious and patient with me as I’ve put this release together. I know that if we ever do meet in person, it’s gonna bea party! So, the Wild Cats EP. I picked these cuts because I think it best represents the Carter Bros’ sound, which can only be described as an eclectic brew of dancefloor detonators. It starts out with “I Didnt NeedYou,” a devastating grower that gets into your brain and burrows a special little place for itself. Forever. Then, the title track, which is strictly deep, pumping and emotional vibes for the discotheque. On the flipside, “Run”is skank-tastic business. Already charted by the likes of Radio Slave andothers. I’ve been playing every one of these tracks for months now. And I don’t intend to stop. Join me, wont you?

The Munich based 2-some kicks off the EP with ‘Get High’, an energetic cut with a driving bassline that will melt the faces of party goers everywhere . That belter is followed by a party starter by the name of ‘Its Been Kinda’. Soulful vocals and killer stabs (the choice of verbage sounds weird, but hopefully you get it) make ‘Its Been Kinda’… kinda fucking great. After that is ‘A Man’s Recipe’, a feel good track with beautiful piano chord progressions, a great bassline, and the tiniest bit of eerie, yet sexy vocal samples. Delicious. Last, but certainly not least, is the slower, R&B tempo’d ‘Had A Dream’- a blissful head nodder that reaches us just in time for the summer!
