Mike Shannon steps up to the Cityfox LTD plate and squeezes the jack juice on his latest offering for Cityfox LTD entitled ‘Foxology EP’. Its a 3 track (5 digital) session of deep jazzy basslines and smooth cuts. We start things off with ‘Foxology feat. Flowing’, a twistedly deep smoothy of a house cut with Shannon’s signature shuffle groove and warped dynamic basses featuring some wicked Blues harp action from Amsterdam’s Flowing. Foxologys B-side is home to ‘Foxwell’ and ‘Zukunftstrasse’, the former being a rather hot number bubbling with bouncing bass, whereas Zukunftstrasse is even more laid back and down tempo, while still playing your mind with it’s sonic insight to the distant future. Digitally, you have the pleasure of ‘Foxology (Dubmix)’, taking things deeper than before. Digital buyers will also receive the ‘Spritz Mix’ with its emphasis on percussion and mood, this sounds like a whole new track. Leaving the Jazz at home in favor of a bubbling Detroit style deep jack mix.
